Sein Roman ”Die Salzsäule” (1953) wurde in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt. Albert Memmis Essay ”Der Kolonisator und der Kolonisierte” ist ein Klassiker der Kolonialismuskritik. Es ist ein persönliches Gespräch (la conversation est en français) mit Albert Memmi und wurde 1995 aufgezeichnet.

Son roman « La colonne de sel » (1953) a été traduit dans de nombreuses langues. L'essai d'Albert Memmi « Le colonisateur et le colonisé » est un classique de la critique du colonialisme. His novel ‘The Pillar of Salt’ (1953) has been translated into numerous languages. Albert Memmi's essay ‘The Coloniser and the Colonised’ is a classic critique of colonialism.
