Ihre Forschung stellte den Korantext in die sozialhistorischen Bezüge der Spätantike. Mit der Fokussierung auf die historisch-kritische Koranforschung initiierte Sie die Anknüpfung an jüdische historische Wissenschaftstraditionen der Koranforschung des 19.. Diese waren durch den Nationalsozialismus und die von ihm beeinflussten Wissenschaftstraditionen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland jahrzehntelang verschüttet. In dem Gespräch erläutert Angelika Neuwirth die Funktionsweise des Koran in der Geschichte bis in die heutige Zeit.
/🎓 Christoph Burgmer in conversation with Angelika Neuwirth. The Arabist and Islamic scholar Angelika Neuwirth (born 1943) is one of the world's leading experts on the Koran. Her research has placed the Quranic text in the socio-historical context of late antiquity. By focussing on historical-critical Quran research, she initiated a link to Jewish historical academic traditions of Quran research in the 19th century. These were buried for decades by National Socialism and the academic traditions of the Federal Republic of Germany influenced by it. In the discussion, Angelika Neuwirth explains how the Koran has functioned throughout history up to the present day.
أنجليكا نيويرث في حوار مع كريستوف بورغمر. الباحثة العربية والباحثة الإسلامية أنجليكا نيويرث (مواليد 1943) هي واحدة من أبرز خبراء العالم في القرآن الكريم. وضعت أبحاثها النص القرآني في السياق الاجتماعي التاريخي للعصور القديمة المتأخرة. ومن خلال تركيزها على البحث التاريخي النقدي التاريخي للقرآن، بدأت في ربط التقاليد الأكاديمية التاريخية اليهودية للبحث التاريخي للقرآن في القرن التاسع عشر. وقد دفنت هذه التقاليد لعقود من الزمن بسبب الاشتراكية القومية والتقاليد الأكاديمية لجمهورية ألمانيا الاتحادية المتأثرة بها. تشرح أنجليكا نيويرث في المناقشة كيف عمل القرآن الكريم عبر التاريخ حتى يومنا هذا.
