🎓 Michael Briefs im Gespräch mit Asma Jilani Jahangir. (1952-2018) Asma Jilani Jahangir lebte und arbeitete In Lohare in Pakistan. Dort unterhielt die Trägerin des Alternativen Nobelpreises 2014 eine Anwaltspraxis. Es war die erste Anwaltspraxis von Frauen in Pakistan. Sie bekämpfte ”Ehrenmorde” an Frauen, geheime Hinrichtungen durch die pakistanische Armee und verteidigte vergewaltigte Frauen, die des ”Ehebruchs” angeklagt waren. Das Gespräch geht der Frage der Auswirkungen der neokolonialen Globalisierungen in Südasien nach und wurde 2003 in Mumbai - Indien aufgezeichnet.
/🎓 Michael Briefs in conversation with Asma Jilani Jahangir (1952-2018) Asma Jilani Jahangir lived and worked in Lohare in Pakistan. The winner of the 2014 Alternative Nobel Prize ran a law practice there. It was the first law practice run by women in Pakistan. She fought against ‘honour killings’ of women, secret executions by the Pakistani army and defended raped women accused of ‘adultery’. The interview explores the impact of neo-colonial globalisation in South Asia and was recorded in Mumbai, India in 2003.
عاصمہ جیلانی جہانگیر (1952-2018 ) کے ساتھ گفتگو میں عاصمہ جیلانی جہانگیر پاکستان میں لوہارے میں رہتی تھیں اور کام کرتی تھیں۔ 2014 کے متبادل نوبل انعام کے فاتح نے وہاں قانون کی پریکٹس کی۔ یہ پاکستان میں خواتین کی طرف سے چلائی جانے والی پہلی قانون کی پریکٹس تھی۔ انہوں نے خواتین کے 'غیرت کے نام پر قتل'، پاکستانی فوج کی جانب سے خفیہ پھانسیوں کے خلاف لڑائی لڑی اور 'زنا' کے الزام میں ریپ کی جانے والی خواتین کا دفاع کیا۔ یہ انٹرویو جنوبی ایشیا میں نو نوآبادیاتی گلوبلائزیشن کے اثرات کا جائزہ لیتا ہے اور اسے 2003 میں ممبئی، بھارت میں ریکارڈ کیا گیا تھا۔
