🎓 Christoph Burgmer im Gespräch mit Gernod Rotter (2041-2010). Gernot Rotter war ein deutscher Islamwissenschaftler und Publizist. Er lehrte bis 2005 an der Universität Hamburg. Gernot Rotter galt als profiliertester Kritiker der deutschen Berichterstattung über islamische Länder, die in weiten Teilen noch vom orientalisierenden Nachkriegsrassismus der deutschen Mehrheitsgesellschaft geprägt war. Das Gespräch wurde 1997 in Hamburg aufgezeichnet.
/🎓 Christoph Burgmer in conversation with Gernot Rotter (1941-2010). Gernot Rotter was a German Islamic scholar and publicist. He taught at the University of Hamburg until 2005. Gernot Rotter was regarded as the most prominent critic of German reporting on Islamic countries, much of which was still characterised by the orientalising post-war racism of the German majority society. The interview was recorded in Hamburg in 1997.
